Manchester United 3 – 0 Everton

Manchester United beat Everton 3-0

A fine performance by us as we charged in yesterday beating Everton 3-0 at home, taking us second in the League with 28 points.

We dominated most of the game with some skillful play yesterday. Our first goal came just 35 minutes into the game when Evra crossed from a tight angle to Valencia who headed it across the face of the goal, it was Fletcher who picked it up and with an unstoppable shot smashed it into the top left hand corner.

It was 67 minutes in when our second goal was scored by Carrick. He was set up by Giggs who picked up the ball in Everton territory and found Carrick at the edge of the area, he had an excellent first time shot straight into the back of the net.

It was only nine minutes later that our final goal came when Scholes played the ball to Valencia who took his shot at goal, it looked as though Howard had the ball covered but it deflected off Everton defender Baines and looped over the keeper into goal, winning us the game 3 goals to 0.

Manchester United Team Line Up:

Van Der Sar, Brown, Evra, Da Silva (63 Scholes), Vidic, Giggs, Carrick (83 Gibson), Valencia, Fletcher, Owen (74 Obertan), Rooney

Scored: Fletcher 35, Carrick 67, Valencia 76

Booked: Da Silva 26, Carrick 79

Everton Team Line Up:

Howard, Neill, Distin, Baines, Heitinga, Yobo, Cahill (82 Jo), Rodwell, Gosling (46 Aivegbeni), Fellaini, Saha (83 Hibbert)

Booked: Cahill 36, Fellaini 40

Manchester United 3-3 CSKA Moscow In Champions League

Posted in Manchester United Match Reviews, Manchester United News with tags , , , , , on November 4, 2009 by manutdticketsonline

Manchester United draw 3-3 with CSKA Moscow in Champions League

It was a very lucky game for us last night but it was enough to take us through to the knock out stages of the Champions League.

CSKA Moscow had us doubting that we were going to see the next stages with a 3-1 lead before the second half was out. CSKA certainly came out all guns blazing, showing a better performance and higher standard of football than our last meeting two weeks ago with a 1-0 defeat by us.

We should have received a penalty just into the second half as Darren Fletcher was taken down in the area by Berezutski, however it was Fletcher who was penalised and unfairly booked for diving.

Scholes gave us hope again in the 84th minute when he headed the ball into the back of the net from Gary Neville’s free kick.

It wasn’t until 2 minutes into injury time that saw us through to the next stages though as CSKA’s very own Schennikov scored an own goal from a shot from Valencia that was heading well wide of the goal.

Manchester Team Line Up:

Van Der Sar, Neville, Brown, F Da Silva ( 56 Evra), Evans, Scholes, Fletcher, Valencia, Owen, Macheda ( 82 Obertan), Nani ( 58 Rooney)

Scored: Owen 29, Scholes 84, Shchennikov (og) 90+2

Booked: Fletcher 49, Macheda 75, Obertan 90+4

CSKA Moscow Team Line Up:

Akinfeev, Ignashevich, Shchenniko, Berezutski, Semberas, Dzagoev ( 72 Carvalho), Aldonin, Krasic, Mamaev ( 70 Rahimic), Berezoutski, Necid ( 85 Piliev)

Scored: Dzagoev 25, Krasic 31, Berezutski 47

Booked: Necid 25, Aldonin 54, Semberas 74, Carvalho 89

Red Card: Semberas 90+4 (second bookable offence)

Manchester United 2-0 Blackburn

Manchester United win against Blackburn 2-0

Another excellent game for us on Saturday as we beat Blackburn 2-0.

Berbatov showed what an excellent player he is with his performance in the first half of the game. We could have easily seen him score a hat trick before the first 45 minutes were up. He pursued every chance given to him but he was just unfortunate not to make better of his opportunitys. His persistence finally paid off though 10 minutes into the second half when he finally went on to score from an excellent cross form Evra.

Berbatov completely deserved his title as man of the match.

Rooney went on to score the second goal for us in the 87th minute after Obertan sent the ball up th pitch which was picked up by Anderson. The Brazilian passed the ball into the area where Rooney was the first to respond and set the final score 2-0.

Manchester United Team Line Up:

Van Der Sar, Brown, O’Shea, Evra, Evans, Carrick, Valencia, Berbatov (79 Owen), Rooney, Nani (63 Obertan), Anderson.

Scored: Berbatov 55, Rooney 87

Blackburn Team Line Up:

Robinson, Chimbonda, Nelson, Givet, Samba, Dunn (83 McCarthy), Andrews (57 Gamst Pendersen), Emerton, N’Zonzi, Diouf, Di Santo (76 Kalinic)

Booked: Emerton 36, Chimbonda 38

Manchester United Win Against Barnsley 2-0 In Carling Cup

Manchester United win 2-0 against Barnsley in Carling up

Another good game for Manchester United last night as we win against Barnsley 2-0 in the Carling Cup taking us through to the quarter finals of the competition. Just what we needed after our defeat against Liverpool last weekend.

Barnsley did try to get in the game, going 1-0 down 6 minutes into the start didn’t seem to phase them, however they just couldn’t quite take control and win the ball long enough to make a difference.

Team Captain Gary Neville was sent of in the 63rd minute, for leaving his studs high after winning a challenge against the Tykes winger Adam Hammill. Although it took us down to 10 men for the rest of the game, I think even Neville will admit after watching the replay that it was a deserved red card.

Manchester Team Line Up:

Foster, Neville, Brown, Da Silva, Evans, Da Silva, Owen (65 De Late), Obertan, Welbeck (53 Tosic), Macheda, Anderson

Scored: Welbeck 6, Owen 59

Booked: F Da Silva 83, Tosic 89

Red Card: Neville 63

Barnsley Team Line Up:

Steele, Moore, Kozluk, Foster, Gray, Hallfredsson, Colace (77 Butterfield), De Silva (71 Campbell-Ryce), Macken (65 Hume), Bogdanovic

Booked: De Silva 38, Colace 40, Bogdanovic 73

Manchester United Lose To Liverpool 2-0

Posted in Manchester United Match Reviews, Manchester United News with tags , , , , , on October 25, 2009 by manutdticketsonline

Manchester United’s defeat at Liverpool 2-0

Not a good game for us today as we lose 2-0 to Liverpool. Even though we seemed to have better possession of the game we couldn’t quite seem to use it to our advantage.

Rooney returned this week from his groin injury and was very unfortunate not to get at least one goal in, after one attempt denied to offside and a missed header set up by Antonio Valencia.

Some how Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher managed to escape what should have been a yellow card seeing him sent of for pulling down Michael Owen as he was through on goal. It was a very bad reception for Owen by the Liverpool fans as he was booed and tormented as he arrived on the pitch.

Nemanja Vidic was sent off in the 90th minute after taking down Dirk Kuyt earning his third successive red card against Liverpool.

Manchester United Team Line Up:

Van Der Sar, Ferdinand, O’Shea, Vidic, Evra, Giggs, Scholes (74 Nani), Valencia, Carrick, Berbatov (74 Owen), Rooney

Booked: Evra 15, Berbatov 37, Vidic 75

Red Card: Vidic 90 (second bookable offence)

Liverpool Team Line Up:

Reina, Carragher, Johnson, Agger, Aurelio, Insua, Mascherano, Leiva, Kuyt, Torres (80 Ngog), Benayoun (91 Skrtel)

Scored: Torres 65, Ngog 90

Booked:Mascherano 72, Carragher 87

Red Card: Mascherano 90 (second bookable offence)

Manchester United Win Against CSKA Moscow 1-0 in Champions League

Posted in Manchester United Match Reviews, Manchester United News with tags , , , , , on October 21, 2009 by manutdticketsonline

Manchester United win against CSKA Moscow in match day 3 of the Champions League

Yet another excellent victory for us tonight, as we managed to win our third game of this tournament. Still top of group B with 9 points, we are now 5 points above second position side Wolfsburg.

Antonio Valencia smashed home the winning goal of the game just 5 minutes before time. It came just moments after his very near miss as he hit the cross bar. This wasn’t the only chance at goal for us tonight though, we had several near misses in this game.

Even though we dominated the pitch for most of the game, CSKA Moscow did also have a few chances of putting themselves in the running for the win, however it would have been a great shame for us if this did happen as we deserved to win this game by far.

Manchester United Team Line Up:

Van Der Sar, Neville, Ferdinand (57 Brown), Vidic, Fabio Da Silva (88 Carrick), O’Shea, Anderson, Nani, Scholes (71 Owen), Valencia, Berbatov

Scored: Valencia 86

Booked: Berbatov

CSKA Moscow Team Line Up:

Akinfeev, Semberas, Ignashevich, Berezutsky, Odiah, Berezutsky, Shchennikov (62 Mamaez), Dzagoev, Krasic, Rahimic (90 Daniel Carvalho), Necid (73 Piliev)

Manchester United Vs CSKA Moscow in match day 3 of Champions League Wednesday 21st October 2009

Manchester United face CSKA Moscow in the next game of the Champions League.

We have played well so far in this tournament, lets hope that even with Wayne Rooney still out due to his groin injury we can keep up the good work.

Top of our group with 6 points after playing 2 games and winning 2, scoring 3 and only conceding 1, the stats are looking good for us as we head into our next match.

Our opponents however have never made it out of the group stages before in this competition. They are third in the group table, after playing 2 games they have won 1 lost 1, scored 3 and conceded 4 goals.

Betting Odds to Date:

Manchester United to Win: 11/10      Draw: 9/4      CSKA Moscow to Win: 5/2

Manchester United’s Victory Over Bolton Final Score 2-1

Posted in Manchester United Match Reviews, Manchester United News with tags , , , , , on October 17, 2009 by manutdticketsonline

Manchester United 2 Bolton Wanderers 1

After only 5 minutes into the game Michael Owen’s header towards goal was deflected into the back of the net by Bolton’s very own Zat Knight.

Despite their early mishap Bolton did try to put pressure on Manchester United but were caught off guard by Valencia as he smashed the second goal into the back of the net just 25 minutes after the first.

Unfortunately there we no more goals scored by us in the second half, despite the great efforts made by Ryan Giggs and Dimitar Berbatov, but it was the Trotters who managed to grab the third goal of the game scored by Mat Taylor.

Still after todays win and Chelsea’s defeat against Aston Villa, we are back at the top of the leader board where we belong.

Manchester United Line Up:

Van Der Sar, Neville, Ferdinand,  class=”hiddenSpellError” pre=”">Evra (83  pre=”83 “>O’shea), Evans, Giggs, Carrick, alencia, Owen (83 Welbeck), Berbatov, Anderson (86 Scholes)

Scored: Valencia 33

Bolton Wanderers Line Up:

Jaaskelainen, Samuel, Knight, Ricketts, Cahill, Taylor, Gardner, Cohen (63 M Davied), Muamba (77 Basham), K Davies, Chung-Young (53 Klasnic)

Scored: Knight (og) 5, Taylor 75

Booked: K Davies 48

Manchester United Vs Bolton Saturday 17th October 2009

Posted in Manchester United Match Previews, Manchester United News with tags , , , , , on October 17, 2009 by manutdticketsonline

Manchester United Vs Bolton Saturday 17th October 2009.

Lets hope the boys can give a better performance this week, after our near defeat against Sunderland last week.

We could be facing bit of a dilemma though as we go into our next match against Bolton. Our top scorer Wayne Rooney is still out due to his groin injury that he picked up last week in the lead up to the England International game.

Problems also seem to be showing with Dimitar Berbatov as the 28 year old is still away in Bulgaria due to the birth of his daughter, and may not be back in time for this weeks game.

Fit again Michael Owen is set to start this week however after his recovery from a groin injury that he picked up just over 2 weeks ago.

Looking to start for Manchester United: Van der Sar, O’Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Nani, Anderson, Carrick, Valencia, Owen, Berbatov

Looking to start for Bolton: Jaaskelainen, Knight, Cahill, Samuel, Ricketts, Gardner, Cohen, Muamba, Taylor, Lee, Kevin Davies

O’shea Makes 10 Year Since His Debut At Manchester United

Posted in Manchester United News with tags , , , , , on October 14, 2009 by manutdticketsonline

O’shea makes 10 years since his debut with Manchester United

After his first appearance with the team back in October 1999 against Aston Villa the Replubic Of Ireland International John O’shea is hoping that there will be plenty more games for him with the squad.

He has achieved great things with the club, being handed the Captain’s armband for United’s opening game of the season against Birmingham, the 28 year old is very proud of his achievements and success with the club but hopes that he can achieve more.

After clocking up more than 350 appearances with the Devils and going from strength to strength as a player his future he still remains concerned about.

He has said:

“I don’t want to look back on my Manchester United career, fingers crossed there are lots more to come. I knew if I was going to leave United I would have a great grounding. The education was terrific, not only in terms of football, but maturing as a person. But when you look back, I guess everything has worked out okay so far. Long may it continue.”

“It worries me,” he continued. “You know you are maturing and getting that bit older. I used to think I was quite young. Obviously you know the years are ticking by because of the age of the lads coming into the squad and the amount of games you have played. Overall, it is a good achievement for someone to stay 10 years at a club like Manchester United and to be involved in a lot of games and win some great trophies. Now I just want to continue and be a part of the team.”
